という間に一年が過ぎようとしている・・・・・・・・・

一羽に3時間分の祈りが込められた千羽の鶴を束ね、癌や難病と戦っている人たちに送ったり、時には病気と闘っている人同士が情報交換をする際、間に入って和訳・英訳をしたりする活動も、ノース･カロライナ州での貴重な出会いがきっかけとなり始まってからもうすでに1年2ヶ月になる。


今日また、準備が整った9つ目の千羽鶴を箱に詰め込んだ。。。
週末にノース･カロライナ州のダーラムに住むＹさん宅へ郵送する予定だ。

そして受け取ったＹさんは、ダーラムから車を3時間ほどとばして、シャーロットという街で癌と闘っているＳさんを励ましに、この千羽鶴を持って会いに行くことになっている。

Ｙさん自身も、5年前に発症した白血病を乗り越えた後、今年の秋に癌の再発が確認され、2ヶ月前に摘出手術を終えたばかり。。。。

「人を励まさずにはいられない」

「病気に立向かう強さを！」

「生きる希望を！」

「絶対にあきらめない心を！」

という思いが、Ｙさんの生き様そのものになっている。

"Nothing is impossible!!" - Cancer Fighter's Complete Victory

One Japanese lady living in Maryland, USA was diagnosed as Colon Cancer almost 3 years ago.

She has been confronting to her cancer.

7 months after she was diagnosed as cancer, her son encountered with a car accident and he turned into a vegetable condition.

Doctors despaired of continuing the life-prolonging treatment…

Her husband, his father, agreed with doctors…

However, she has never despaired. She could not despair…

Mother is Great.

She has been praying strongly every day and night just for her son.

One day last month, the Great thing occurred….

Her son opened his eyes, moved his eyeballs, moved his fingers, moved his foot!!!!!

And then after, she took the periodical medical examination of cancer……

Her doctor could not find any single cancer cell in her body……
Her cancer has gone completely from her body!!!!!!!!

Few days ago, her son was provided the special opportunity with aid of the country to take a special surgery at one hospital in Ohio State.

“NOTHING IS IMPOSSIBLE!” is true statement!

We sent her son a Thousand Paper Cranes…..that is 30 million hours prayer gathered from the people living in different countries in the world.

All of us really hope his Complete Victory as well as his mother made it!!!

Finishing up 1 month long stay in Victorville, CA

Tomorrow is the last day of this Victorville stay in CA.
Compared to Durham life, both of work and personal life were really busy in good meaning...

Since the beginning of this new year, we could meet a lot of amazing people in just one month.

The person who had been fighting against a large brain tumor about 2 inches size and saved by Dr.Fukushima, "The Man who has God Hand", (Dr. Takanori Fukushima),

The person who is fighting against the cancer spread to bone and brain after overcoming breast cancer, who is still keep working and encouraging surrounding people,

The person who has been fighting against ALS (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis/ Lou Gehrig’s disease) for more than 10 years.

One common thing that all these people has is their attitude to think about others and treat others.
All of them are proving the unlimited power of life that exists inside of each human being.

The name of "California" reminds me the LA Town with tall buildings, Long Beach, and Hollywood, etc...
However, we could see California from other sides....

Mountains,

Windy Valley,

and Desert,

And also, here is the Edward Airforce Base with the longest run-way in the world where the Space Shattle can land.

Accidentally I could meet the guy who is working at Edward Airforce Base as a Flight Tracking Engineer, who is the husband of the lady fighting against the cancer.
His job is to monitor and track the Space Shuttle and Space Station, etc.... WOW!!
He kindly promised to make a chance of the tour at Edward for me next time...

We could meet a lots of lots of other amazing people also....
It is really difficult to understand that we could have these amazing experiences in just a month!
We really appreciate every single person who kindly supported us to make it happen!!

Blood Drive in Seattle.......2 months after the last one in Durham

This time is the 2nd blood drive in US…….

As same as the 1st time, feeling dizzy repeatedly for a couple of days after the blood drive…
The amount of blood that is taken per one drive in US is 1 pint.
In Japan, it's 400 ml………..but in US, it's 473 ml (=1 pint)……
1 pint might be too much for Japanese?.............or, was it because I took beer in the dinner after the blood drive?
Anyway, the beer was soooooo good!

Nonetheless, 3 people will be saved per one blood drive.
It will also used for hospitalization of leukemia.
I asked one of nurses….."How can I become a bone marrow donor?"………..

First of all, just visit a donation center nearby.
No appointment is needed.
And then, my saliva will be collected.
That is the first step……………………..

And if it's matching with something (I do not know exactly what it is) of a patient, I will be informed and asked to come.
Then, my blood will be collected for some inspection to check the availability to donate my bone marrow……………….

Other than blood drive and/or marrow donor registration, we have a lots of opportunity to help people.
For example, volunteer to help the reception desk for blood drive, volunteer to take a role to monitor donors' condition for 10 or 15 min. after blood drive, … etc.

And also, we can donate the specific blood component from our blood.
This method is different from normal blood drive and it enables to collect 6 times blood platelet more than normal blood drive….

We have unlimited way to help people. ………. It could be sending Encouragement, could be another action….

One thing that is pointed out recently as a mistake in the history of medical science is that disease has been viewed only as a physical matter….
Physical body can not be separated from mental or spiritual world…...Such a ordinary matter has not been focused in the medical science for long time.

Even if I do not have a license of doctor, even if I have never majored in medical science, I have something to do for people. Everything is started from 'Action'.
No need to have any fear….. Action taken one by one and step by step will change the world even if each action looks too small to change.

Cancer Fighters' Supporters in Seattle

The 'GREEN' cycling group in Bellevue.... (almost 20 'green' men)

Their wearing suite has the logo of Starbucks..........and, ?... also, ... "Cancer Care Alliance".............!!

I googled at home and hit very easily..........That is " Seattle Cancer Care Alliance (SCCS) ".

SCCS is the representative and the biggest 'Cancer Treatment' center in North West, US. And, it unites these three organizations .......... Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center, UW (University of Washington) Medicine, and Chilren's Hospital and Regional Medical Center.

I did not know that until today!

What is Misfortune?

There are many people who feel his/her Misfortune even though they have Healthy body, Huge amount of money, and Long life.

Illness is not Misfortune... Poverty is not Misfortune... Short life is not Misfortune...

Happiness is always brought by our possitive fighting spirit that makes it possible to look down any kinds of struggles facing us.

There is no life without any illness.... There is no life without any struggle... There is no life only with fun...

So, we need to keep this possitive strong spirit to be always happy! Then, how can we keep this possitive spirit and attitude?

There is nothing other than Religion to resolve this.... and also, it must be the one that can pull out the great power every single peason has originally..... it cannot be the one that rely on something outside like a child presuming upon his/her mother.

Human beings can not eliminate War from our earth....... Why? ....... The reason is that it is really difficult for all of us to eliminate "Distrust".

How can we resolve this? Let's think together!
