ほうき（みたいな木） と 青い空

この写真はカリフォルニアからシアトルに帰ってきた2月末にとったもの。

フロリダとオハイオへの旅行の準備等で、写真はとったもののブログにできなかった。。。

結局おとといオハイオから帰ってくるまで、何も書けず・・・・




でもようやく今日、時間がとれた。　・・・・・　何週間ぶりだろう？？？

シアトルの晴れた空は、見ているだけで気分がスカッとする！

その青い空に映えたほうきの様な木を見る度に、あ～ここはシアトルなんだ～
と思える。。。

高熱でフラフラ

十年以上ぶりに高熱が出た。。。

熱は上がり続け、とうとう39度。
下がってもまた上がり、下がっては上がり。。。

頭痛、鼻水、節々は痛み、眼球までちくちく痛み、・・・・

二日たってようやく薬が効き始めた。

今日も最高の天気！

せっかく晴れた土曜日だのに・・・・・という思いはあるものの・・・

今日はおどだじくじでよう～

シアトルはまるで観光地!?

シアトルに戻ってきて。。。。

自宅で久しぶりに過ごしてみたが。。。。

変な感じがする。。。。まるでホテルに居るみたい？

ずーっとホテル・ルームで過ごしてきたもんだから、
本当のホテルに何の新鮮味も覚えなくなってしまっているのか？

もう一つヘンな事が。。。。。

シアトルに戻ってきてから、ここのところずーっといい天気が続いている。。。。
ありがたいことだが、いつも雨が降っていないとなんだか調子が狂う。。。。
これもシアトルならでは。




久しぶりに湖畔の公園へ。

やっぱりめったに晴れないからだろうか、公園には数多くの人が繰り出していた。
皆、めったに浴びれない太陽の光を満喫しているようだった。。。

シアトルに家があるのに、一年の内７０％－８０％はシアトルに居られなかったから

まるでシアトルは未だに観光地。。。。

このままでは、とてもとてもシアトルに住んでましたなんて言えません・・・

オハイオ州の寒い空

シンシナティは本当に寒かった・・・・・

凍るように寒かった・・・・・

いやいや、凍るようにではなく、凍っていた・・・・・・

2週間の滞在も今日で終了！
前半は青空が広がっていたが、後半は雪が降り、全てが凍り、
ちょっと外を歩くだけで洋服から変な音が聞こえる・・・・バリバリ・・・バリ・・・バリバリ・・・

最高気温：零下３℃
最低気温：零下１６℃

なんて日もあった。。。。。オー信じられない！
フィンランド出身の同僚も、さすがに「寒い!」と叫んでいた。
彼の口から「寒い」という言葉が出たのは一年一緒にいるが今回が本当に初めて。。。。

でもようやく明日・早朝、シアトルに帰れる!!

冬のシンシナティはほんとにもうカンベン！

でもまた2週間後に来なければならないのだが。。。。。

ひとまずシアトルに退避!!!!!!

Unexpectedly warmer Cincinnati.....only today?

From Seattle to Cincinnati.....


4 hours flight + 3 hours time difference
It takes one day just for the trip from WA to OH....


It is unexpectedly warmer than last year in Cincinnati! .... very fortunately!

Opened the book "CHOOSE HOPE" again in the hotel room......


"It is important to make concrete proposals toward the peace of humankind and to take the lead in seeing them realized."
"Concrete proposals - even if they are not immediately realized - become the sparks from which the light of peace will grow. Empty talk is futile. The concreteness of a proposal is the pillar of its realization, which supports the roof protecting humanity."

As mentioned in the book, Mr. Daisaku Ikeda-the author of this book has kept releasing the "Peace Proposal" on January 26th every year from 1983.

It was shocking for me to know about that the "Global Warming" possibly cause "Nuclear Weapon Spreading"......

I hope this proposal would be read by people.... as many people in the globe as possible...

not only the limitted people like UN workers but also individual global citizens.

珍しく陽気な2月のシンシナティ・・・今日だけ？

シアトルからシンシナティへ



実質4時間のフライト＋3時間の時差（同じ国なのに・・・）

移動だけで一日がつぶれる



シンシナティは意外にも暖かかった。。。去年の大雪に比べての話だが。。。



ホテルに着き、久しぶりに本を開いた。

「希望の選択」



「人類の平和のためには、”具体的”な提案をし、その実現に向けて自ら先頭に立って”行動”することが大切である」

「そうすれば、たとえすぐには実現できなくとも、やがて平和の火種となり、炎となって広がっていく。空理空論はどこまでも虚しいが、具体的な提案は、実現への柱となり、人類を守る屋根ともなっていく－」と。



著者である池田　大作氏は、毎年この言葉通り、1983年以来毎年1月26日に「平和提言」を発表し続けてきた。



今年の平和提言の一部だが、JAPAN　TIMESにも紹介されている。



「北極の非核地化」の実現を　－と題して



地球温暖化が核拡散問題につながるとは想像もしていなかったことだ・・・・

多くの人に知ってもらいたい。認識してもらいたい。

人類を平和に導くのも人間。。。破滅に導くのも人間。。。

Finishing up 1 month long stay in Victorville, CA

Tomorrow is the last day of this Victorville stay in CA.
Compared to Durham life, both of work and personal life were really busy in good meaning...

Since the beginning of this new year, we could meet a lot of amazing people in just one month.

The person who had been fighting against a large brain tumor about 2 inches size and saved by Dr.Fukushima, "The Man who has God Hand", (Dr. Takanori Fukushima),

The person who is fighting against the cancer spread to bone and brain after overcoming breast cancer, who is still keep working and encouraging surrounding people,

The person who has been fighting against ALS (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis/ Lou Gehrig’s disease) for more than 10 years.

One common thing that all these people has is their attitude to think about others and treat others.
All of them are proving the unlimited power of life that exists inside of each human being.

The name of "California" reminds me the LA Town with tall buildings, Long Beach, and Hollywood, etc...
However, we could see California from other sides....

Mountains,

Windy Valley,

and Desert,

And also, here is the Edward Airforce Base with the longest run-way in the world where the Space Shattle can land.

Accidentally I could meet the guy who is working at Edward Airforce Base as a Flight Tracking Engineer, who is the husband of the lady fighting against the cancer.
His job is to monitor and track the Space Shuttle and Space Station, etc.... WOW!!
He kindly promised to make a chance of the tour at Edward for me next time...

We could meet a lots of lots of other amazing people also....
It is really difficult to understand that we could have these amazing experiences in just a month!
We really appreciate every single person who kindly supported us to make it happen!!
